How We Price
All cost data is compiled from publicly available sources. There is no national per-procedure dental fee survey: the ADA discontinued its Survey of Dental Fees in 2023 (last edition covered 2022 fees) and nothing has replaced it. Our primary sources for 2026 fee ranges:

- -Aspen Dental published wisdom teeth pricing: $299 average per tooth, range $184 to $488, from its 2026 internal data (publicly listed)
- -FAIR Health Consumer: free ZIP-code cost estimator built on billions of insurance claims, the closest available geographic fee benchmark
- -ADA CDT code set (Current Dental Terminology): procedure definitions, not prices, used to map extraction types to fee categories

Update Cadence
This site is reviewed quarterly for content accuracy. Published cost guides (CareCredit, Aspen Dental) are re-checked when reviewed and the check date is noted on the page. Last major source review: June 2026.
